The Olympic Bob Run Museum with the Run of Fame and the exhibition in Celerina is located on the site of the world's first bobsleigh run, the founding site of the oldest bobsleigh club in the world, and has one of the most important collections of bobsleigh history in the world. In addition to wooden sledges that are over 100 years old, the legendary five-man sledges, which were raced at the 1928 Winter Olympics in St. Moritz, exert a great fascination not only for bobsleigh fans.
The St. Moritz-Celerina Olympic bobsleigh run was opened in 1904, making it not only the oldest bobsleigh run, but also the last natural ice track in the world. Its history goes back to the end of the 19th century, when the - predominantly British - bobsleigh enthusiasts of the St. Moritz Tobogganing Club were at loggerheads with their colleagues from the skeleton camp over the use of the Cresta Run and were therefore looking for a suitable place to practice their newly invented sport.
